Bonjour et bienvenue à le premier blog! Hello and welcome to the blog. This the first of (hopefully) many blogs about my epic trek through France. I've been accepted by EF High School Exchange Program, they seem like they know what's going on, which is good because I don't. I've sent my papers in to EF and now I'm just waiting for that phone call that tells me that they've found a family for me. That probably won't happen for another month. ATM, it hasn't really sunk in yet, mostly because I have been so busy with work and school. I am a waiter and a year 12 student (for those of you who have forgotten), both of which are worked too hard. In a couple of months when school finishes, it'll sink in. I can just imagine on graduation day, instead of being overcome by tears of joy for completing school, I will be overcome by tears of joy for leaving my family for a year (yippee, wait... huh?). But seriously, I am the first to admit that there will be many tears during this journey (hopefully tears of triumph). It is with that lovely imagery that this blog comes to a close. I will post again sometime in the near future, stay tuned.
P.S. My blogging skills will increase as time goes on, I think...
